Pleased to meet you. My name is Bart Bruin. If you’ve found this site and are reading this sentence, you’re one of the first people to ever have the knowledge about this book. It will be published this year, but when is yet to be revealed. Until then, you’ll just have to do with a teaser.

A bit about myself. Since my youth, I’ve always been intrigued by the stories we’ve been telling each other, and especially the ones we read in books. It can take us to other worlds we didn’t even dare imagine and only experience, if we’re lucky, in dreams.

Those stories, told by my teachers, friends and parents, have laid the foundation of my interest in reading and writing. For many years I’ve been writing short stories but never dared, or had the patience, to start a feature length novel. And like those short stories, this novel started out the same way. A mere few pages on paper, written on a bleak midwinter day. Doomed to be just a few kilobytes on a hard drive. Until last August 2022.

When something in my private life occurred, I was motivated to start writing my full length novel. I wrote almost every day for three months straight when I finally his those initial 90,000 words. After that, revisions were being made until finally the end came in sight.

Since then, I have made steps to publish this first novel and have finished the first draft of my second novel of the The legend of the Durdarai series. The third book I am currently writing, a standalone sci-fi novel is in the works.
